The Horizon Trap was compared to Grisham by a keen reader of said author; the guy who printed the first batch and who actually remarked he was worried it might spoil the just finished latest novel. He seemed genuine enough when he told me it didnt. Other than for the artwork Lost and Found was completed entirely by myself. I remember the weekend spent digging deep concerning its ending. What passed for the most logical conclusion became vital. Didnt say much for a day or two. The occasional lip bite or a strained reply must have seemed out of character. Similarly my third novel was a personal production. It happened over a twelve month-ish period. There were several other stories too recorded in notes form set for their development at some later stage. If the book isnt going to be published though, if that welcome sign doesnt hang over the door you might as well go climb a mountain, a biggie, because theres just as much effort needed with exactly the same kind of reward awaiting ones feet back at ground level. The world pays its own (John 15:19) Its how the system moves and youd better believe it brothers and sisters. (Romans
16:17 & 18) Now I beseech you, my brethren, beware of those who
cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which you have
been taught; keep away from them. Without going into detail challenging elements in the third book brought about a conflict of interest in me. In the end it seemed like a senseless exercise to go live with it, it was literally days away from the upload button moment - it was that close. The decision to stop the books production (The Running Day) was tough but it small in comparison to other reasons standing in the way of writing stories. The long list of agent/publisher refusals for the Horizon Trap had left a coloured view in my mind; strategy is perhaps an accurate word to describe the point I make. Either way it wasnt meant to be and who is able to truly judge our lives. (Romans
11:28 to 36) Now according to the gospel, they are enemies for your
sake. But according to election, they are beloved for the patriarchs
sakes. I live in the North West of England. My full name is Graham James Clitheroe. Fortunately as a true grassroots Christian, well informed in the way this place functions, I have pretty much devoted myself to the right and proper things Jesus taught who, told us He is the way the truth and the life. (John 14:6) He also said His way is easy, although when youre as dumb as I can be that isnt always so straight forward. The Bible teaches us, No other Name under Heaven can save us. (John 14:6 / Acts 4:12) That is very well worth thinking about. The Bible asks - we choose life. (Deuteronomy 30:19) tells us - For the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) We are asked to allow ourselves to be guided into all truths (John 16:13) All of which sounds like a far better prospect than most of the things Im aware of here on earth. Not even the sting of death (1 Corinthians 15:55 to 57) can have victory over the true Christian whos demise in the flesh is new birth into the fullness of life; eternal life. Jesus message is like a light in the darkness having an unseen source. No matter how much the opposition try to make the enduring 1000 year old truth go away they cannot. Jesus beat death. He nailed mans law to that dreadful cross He was crucified on ((removing any excuse for they who work under cover of darkness with betrayal in mind, John 15:22)) saying in effect - follow me to victory over your fallen state To the Kingdom of God where there is no more pain and no more suffering.
